In order to ensure the highest quality of work and faster turnaround time, we ask that you follow the few simple guidelines below.

FLEX FX utilizes the following software:

  1. Creative Suite 3
  2. In Design 3
  3. Adobe Pagemaker 6.5
  4. QuarkXpress 6.0
  5. Macromedia Freehand 9.0
  6. Corel Draw 11.0

Disk Drive Availability:

  1. 100MB, 250Mb Iomega Zip Drives
  2. 1Gb, 2Gb Iomega Jaz Drive
  3. 200Mb Syquest Drive
  4. CD ROM Drive
  5. DVD Rom Drive
  6. 3.5 Floppy Diskette Drive

In order to ensure the highest quality of work and faster turnaround time, we ask that you make sure to follow the few simple guidelines below:

  1. Create all layouts at 600 dpi, scale: 1/4'' = 1'
  2. Scan all images at 600 dpi
  3. Include pantone coated colors, for spot colors
  4. Include a fonts; postscripts, Suitcase, True Type, etc...
  5. Make sure to include ALL images

Examples for sizing purposes: If your board is a 14' x 48', you should create your file 3.5''x 12'' at 600 dpi. If your board is a 6' x 12', you should create your file 1.5'' x 3'' at 600 dpi.

Program Specifications:
QuarkXpress: save all Quark documents as version 4.
Photoshop: if possible, save document in layers
Freehand & Illustrator: create outlines of ALL text.
Corel Draw: convert all text to curves and please remember to save your documents as version 8.0, thank you.

Scanning images: 4'' x 5'' and 8'' x 10'' original photos or transparencies are recommended. Here at Flex FX, we are fully equipped to scan photos or transparencies. If you chose to scan them yourself, please note: the higher dpi the better the finished product.
