| Bleed to edges: | Print is extended to the edge of the wrap. There is not a white border where the print ends. |
| Building Wrap: | A huge graphic installed on the walls or windows of a building. Also called a ''building mural'' or ''wallscape'' |
| Cloth: | Specially designed cloth material used for large format printing and elaborate designs. Material is not washable. |
| Cut out: | Separate piece of material that is glued or adhered to a piece of plywood or other substrate that is separate from the design. This can be done on vinyl or sticky-back PSA and can be used to create a three dimensional effect. |
| DPI: | Dots per inch used to measure resolution |
| Extensions: | When a portion of the design/advertisements extends beyond the edge of the board creating a three dimensional effect. Extensions can be printed on vinyl and then wrapped or stapled to a piece of plywood for support on top a billboard structure. |

| Pocket: | Additional material stitched to form a fold for the insertion of poles or rods. Standard pocket is 3 inches. |

| Proof: | The mock up of your design/advertisement on an 8.5 inch x 11 inch paper that is used for matching colors and approval of artwork. |
| Ratchet Straps: | Adjustable long strap with hooks and clasps that attach to the poles that have been inserted in the pockets to form a tight wrap of the print around the structure. |
| Resolution: | Refers to amount of ink that is used to produce your print. The higher the resolution, the more dots that are used to create a sharper image and vice versa. Rule of thumb, the higher the resolution the smaller the print should be (banner size). The lower the resolution, the larger the print should be (billboard size). |
| Static Cling: | Plastic stick-on for windows and clear plastic displays that can be illuminated by light. |
