In order to ensure the highest quality of work and faster turnaround time, we ask that you make sure to follow the few simple guidelines below:
Create all layouts at 600 dpi, scale: 1/4'' = 1'
Scan all images at 600 dpi
Include pantone coated colors, for spot colors
Include a fonts; postscripts, Suitcase, True Type, etc...
Make sure to include ALL images
Examples for sizing purposes: If your board is a 14' x 48', you should create your file 3.5''x 12'' at 600 dpi. If your board is a 6' x 12', you should create your file 1.5'' x 3'' at 600 dpi.
Program Specifications: QuarkXpress: save all Quark documents as version 4. Photoshop: if possible, save document in layers Freehand & Illustrator: create outlines of ALL text. Corel Draw: convert all text to curves and please remember to save your documents as version 8.0, thank you.
Scanning images: 4'' x 5'' and 8'' x 10'' original photos or transparencies are recommended. Here at Flex FX, we are fully equipped to scan photos or transparencies. If you chose to scan them yourself, please note: the higher dpi the better the finished product.
